A 1,650-member smallholder cooperative in the Gedeo zone, founded in 2017. We have bought from washing-station manager Faysel Yonis since 2018, when our first 60kg of washed Konga landed in Thessaloniki.

Cherries arrive at the station within hours of picking, are floated, depulped and fermented under water for 36 to 48 hours, then dried on raised beds for up to fourteen days with hand-turning every two hours during the first three.
Faysel keeps the lots separated by day and by collection point, which is why we can buy a single week of picking rather than a season. It is more work for him and better coffee for everyone.
The same figures printed on every bag of this coffee.
