Don Cayetano Muñoz farms eight hectares of pink bourbon and caturra at 1,720 metres above Pitalito. We met him through Caravela in 2019 and bought our first 35kg of pink bourbon that summer.

Cayetano passes through the same trees five times in a harvest, taking only fully ripe cherries. On eight hectares that is a decision about quality that costs him weeks of labour, and it is the reason the Pink Bourbon tastes the way it does.
His daughter Marcela took over the fermentation in 2023 and has been quietly pushing the honey lots further every year since.
